See what our students and parents have to say about their Origo Edu experience.
Since starting in 2018, we have successfully placed students at their preferred universities.
Not only were they able to empathize with what we seniors were going through, they were able to bring out my strengths knowing what universities looked for. With their well-thought strategies, applications became a lot simpler. They helped me understand myself, giving me freedom to write what I wanted, but prompting me with the right questions to improve my essays with every iteration.
Without Origo, I don’t think I could have presented myself to universities as well as I did. At the end of the day, Origo kept my goals top of mind, making sure that I was satisfied with each application I submitted. After countless brainstorming and writing sessions with Sharon and Amanda, I now look at them as more than consultants.
They became my friends, and I am forever grateful to have worked with Origo.
During my application process, I struggled to come up with ideas for my essays. Origo helped me brainstorm ideas and put them down on paper. The personalized attention and insightful feedback was evident in their high-quality service, and ultimately, acceptances into some of my dream schools.
I am endlessly appreciative of Origo!
The whole application process was an overwhelming one. As a parent, while I want to help as much as possible, the support I can give is limited. Origo consultants come with deep expertise, and with personal experience in developing their own and helping others develop their college applications and essays.
It was obvious the Origo team was able to relate to and "speak" in the language of my son. From day one, I knew he was in good hands - we received weekly updates, and were particularly impressed by how involved, efficient, and comprehensive Origo was in supporting them through their college essays. The Origo team cares, and they work from the heart - that's the biggest difference.
College applications are a lengthy, complex, and often stressful process for both students and parents. For me, I was stressed as a parent knowing college application deadlines were coming up and I wasn’t sure whether my son was on track to meet those deadlines with a strong application. Origo helped tremendously, guiding my son and making sure that he stayed focused throughout the process. They ensured he received the best support, helping him discover his interests and future potential, and identify universities that fit his personality and ambitions. They took their job seriously and made a clear effort to understand and connect with my son, asking relevant, critical, and personal questions to guide him through his college essays and other key parts of the application. I'm super happy with their work!
Origo saw potential in me that I couldn't see in myself, much less articulate in my application, especially when it came to my extracurricular involvement. I did not think my resume was special or unique, but with Origo, all it took was one meeting to tease out the many accomplishments I had from four years of high school: managing the school’s website for a regional athletics competition, securing company sponsorship for an e-sport competition, tutoring mathematics to his younger peers, and volunteering for a week in a foreign country. The false belief that I had not contributed to my community was a barrier to creating an honest and holistic profile. Ultimately, I was able to incorporate many of my strengths into my 10 university applications, and successfully gained admission into the University of Washington, University of Wisconsin Madison, Purdue University, and the University of British Columbia for Computer Science, where I will be going this Fall.
